Nirupama's journey in Bharatanatyam began on the auspicious day of Vijayadashami in 2018, at the age of 8 with the blessings of her Guru Smt. Saipriya Rahulan. 

 

Over the past seven years, Nirupama has had the privilege of performing at numerous cultural events and Shivam School of Dance productions. Her most cherished highlight was the spiritual experience of performing solo on Maha Shivaratri at the 2025 Natyanjali Festival in Tamil Nadu, India.

 

Currently a Year 10 student at Arndell Anglican College, Nirupama is deeply grateful for how Bharatanatyam has allowed her to strengthen her cultural roots and connect with her inner spirituality. 

 

For her, dance is a transformative art form - a sacred space where she can express herself, convey timeless stories, and connect with the audience.​​
